Overview of Recreational Offerings

5U and 6U
These are non-competitive, coach-pitch divisions that will use a tee when needed. This league emphasizes teaching the fundamentals of the game of baseball in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. EVERY participant of this division will receive a season-end award.

8U – 12U
Each age group (8U, 10U, 12U) will be broken down into the following divisions:

Red: This is the most competitive division involving the higher skilled players. Players in this division will be determined by a draft of coaches in this division.

White: A highly competitive division with players determined by a draft of coaches in this division.

Blue: A competitive league for players not drafted into the Red or White Divisions. Rules for this divisions are designed to highly promote the development of players, in a relaxed environment.

It is preferable that every player attend an evaluation session to help in the draft process. Evaluation scores help to ensure an even and fun playing experience for ALL, as the teams will be divided as fairly as possible based on evaluation scores. If a player played with MYB in previous seasons and cannot make any of the evaluation sessions, we will use the data we have on that player to help place them appropriately in the draft.

14U
This is a competitive, instructional league geared toward the older age groups. Players in this league will be determined by a draft of coaches in this league based off player evaluations. Awards will be given to the first and second place finishers in the end-of-the-season tournament for each division. An All-Star team will  be selected within each division, as the interest exists.

High School
This is a competitive, instructional league geared toward the high school players.

Spring season runs from late March thru early/late June depending on the league. Opening Day at Billericay Park is scheduled for April 20th, 2024.

Do I need to attend Spring evaluations?
Yes, evaluations will take place 1/28/24, 2/18/24 and 3/10/24. After registration, watch your email for more information and a link to sign up for a timeslot. The leagues are divided into three divisions: Red, White, and Blue. Athletes will be placed in divisions according to skill level and the number of divisions within each age group varies each year. If your player does not attend evaluations, they may be placed in the Blue division for their age group.
